Rebreather Diver Training and Cross-Overs
 
DIVE Northampton offers a full range of Rebreather Courses that utilises the very latest in diver training. 

You can choose to certify using either one of the PADI Rebreather programmes or one of the RAID Rebreather programmes. Both training systems are recognised around the world and offer unique advantages. It is best to take a look at the courses available and decide which suits your training requirements best. If in doubt, get in touch and we'll happily discuss the options open to you in more detail.

The PADI Rebreather and Advanced Rebreather Diver courses use Type R units to introduce divers to rebreather diving within recreational dive limits. Type R rebreathers are electronically controlled and provide a back up for all the major systems and simplify training and use.

All rebreathers used during PADI courses must be third-party tested and manufacturers must ensure they meet a comprehensive list of requirements.

Because each rebreather model is different, you will need to qualify on each rebreather model. However, once you are qualified you will not need to repeat the entire course to earn your certification with a different Type R rebreather model. The PADI Rebreather Qualifier focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to use a different Type R rebreather model. 

The courses are very much based around self-study materials linked to in-depth Instructor led theory sessions and exams before moving on the the hands-on elements. You collect your training materials when you book your course and complete your self-study before coming in for theory sessions.

The RAID courses are built around detailed course materials, multiple quiz and answers, evaluations and Dive Centre, Instructor, Student on-line interaction.

For existing divers, it is possible to cross-over at an appropriate level at minimal cost. Please ontact us to discuss this option and the appropriate level of cross-over.

This is e-learning and much more! As a student, you will sign up for your selected Course. This can be anything form a Rebreather Try Dive to a full Instructor Course (provided you meet the required pre-requisites). You will select DIVE Northampton as your Training Centre and we will assign one of our Instructors to you. You will complete the online theory development for your selected course and your progress will be closely monitored by your Instructor.

Once the theory is complete, the practical training associated with your Course is conducted by your instructor and is based on industry-standard facilitated-based programmes, which means that you will receive the highest possible standards of training.

The training has an integrated quality management system is unrivalled, and provides you with the peace of mind that you will get the very best. There is also has a strong conservation theme and interaction with groups who do make a difference.
