Many divers take thes First Aid courses to meet program prerequisites, such as Rescue Diver, or as preparation for becoming a Divemaster. However, most have also found the program to be important in every day life. They have taken a significant step in emergency preparedness, and feel confident that they can provide care should an emergency situation arise.

The program meets requirements for CPR and First Aid in the workplace (OSHA Guideline 29 CFR 1910.151), and incorporates the latest procedures for emergency patient care.

This is also a pre-requisite for the Rescue Course

The certification is valid for 2 years and then a Refresher Course must be completed to renew your certification.

- What will I do?

The course incorporates independent study to prepare you for a classroom and hands-on skill development session with your instructor. You will learn the same patient care techniques used by medical professionals, but at a lay person level.

- What will I learn?

The course includes Primary Care covering emergency first aid provision in life threatening situations utilising skills such as CPR and defibrillation; Secondary Care developing skills in patient management  and treatment of non life-threatening injuries and illnesses; Defibrillation and the use of Emergency Automated Defibrillators and Oxygen therapy.

We can conduct the refresher course either as a stand-alone course or by joining a group completing their full Primary & Secondary Care Course. The cost for this is only £60.
